Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS)

INFORMATION

Proposals will be reviewed by the IIS Committee based on scientific merit and alignment strength of rationale with corporate research and development plans. In addition to the scientific evaluation, the IIS Review Committee will ensure that requested funds are justified, reasonable, and commensurate with fair market value, and that submitting investigators are eligible to conduct the proposed research. Nestlé Health Science will not compensate for purchase of equipment related or unrelated to the study or which could generate revenue to the investigator and staff that is not dedicated to the study.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Investigators must submit a concept proposal with scientific rationale and/or an appropriate review of the literature. An up-to-date CV of the investigator as well as a detailed budget breakdown must be submitted together with the concept proposal.

Once a concept proposal is reviewed and the proposal is approved to be taken forward, the investigator will be invited to submit a full study proposal for review. Please note, approval of a concept proposal does not imply or guarantee approval of a full study proposal. For final sign-off of studies, a copy of the ethical approval must be provided, when applicable. Any support approved by Nestlé Health Science is initiated only upon a fully executed contract and with all necessary documentation in place.
